Our History
The Bindi story begins with a little bakery on one of Milano's most historic streets, Via Larga, in 1946. Attilio Bindi, Tuscan restauranteur and founder of the company, was driven by his passion for sweets. His first and second born sons, the elder Romano and the younger Rino, shared the same enthusiasm as their father.
This was an absolutely innovative idea for those days: being the first to offer a fast order-and-deliver service to restaurants in Milan.
From 45 minutes to 2 hours, that was the time frame for a cake to be delivered. Means of conveyance: the bicycle. Delivery service by day or night and a complete change of perspective: the dessert as a service not just as a pastry product.
From that moment on, the Bindi family along with Attilio Bindi, grandson of the founder, who will propel Bindi into the future, has developed, year by year, a long history of success.
The success is based on the Bindi mission statement: to be an innovative and professional partner for the restaurant industry worldwide; Reliable and capable of guaranteeing the unique quality and service of the brand, whether in Milan or Tokyo, New York or Madrid, London or Paris, Berlin or Moscow, following clear values and accomplishing them with determination.
In the United States, Attilio Bindi, President of Bindi USA, is putting the same effort, passion and dedication into the USA market to make Bindi the leader in the dessert industry. Based on the Company's historical knowledge, tradition, and USA market trends, Attilio Bindi is creating special innovative desserts that meet the demands of the USA consumers.
